Council recently participated in Wadeye Futures Day, hosted by Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College, joining a range of organisations to showcase future employment, training and career opportunities for young people in Wadeye. Council’s interactive display featured a grader used to maintain roads across West Daly and surrounding homelands, giving children the opportunity to explore the machine and learn about its functionality. Our Civil workforce is vital to the maintenance of roads in the region.

A children’s activity stall featuring books, colouring sheets and information materials also provided a fun and engaging space to connect with Council staff.

The day was a valuable opportunity to engage with young people and highlight the diverse services and career pathways available within local government.
