The land where our Elected Members, Local Authority Members and residents live is known as Thamarrurr, a Murinh-Patha word meaning “coming together to work as one people.”


This belief sits at the heart of the West Daly Regional Council. We work alongside our communities to build a stronger, safer and more connected region, one that honours its rich history, culture, and Country while creating new opportunities for social and economic growth
