Audit and Risk Management Committee
Purpose
The Audit and Risk Management Committee provides independent oversight, advice and assurance to the West Daly Regional Council on matters of governance, risk, and financial accountability.
Its role is to help Council manage risks effectively, maintain strong internal controls, and continuously improve the way we deliver services to our communities.
Role and Responsibilities
The Committee supports Council by:
Overseeing internal and external audit processes, including the implementation of audit recommendations.
Advising Council on key areas of risk that may affect its operations, reputation or financial sustainability.
