Section 115 of the Local Government Act provides that as soon as practicle after a member becomes aware of a conflict of interest in a matter that has arisen before an audit committee, a council, a council committee or a local authority. The member must disclose that interest that gives rise to the conflict at the meeting or to the CEO.
